Dognapping In Newark: Man Stole Pitbull Puppy Off Porch, Cops Say

NEWARK, NJ — A dognapper recently abducted a puppy from a Newark pet owner’s porch, authorities announced Monday.
The abduction took place on Wednesday, Aug. 14, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.
Police said a pitbull puppy named Luna was stolen from a home in the area of Parkview Terrace and Weequahic Avenue. The suspect entered the victim’s porch at 8 p.m., unleashed the 3-month old puppy and walked away with it.

“Detectives investigating this incident obtained photos of the suspect, and are seeking the public’s help in quickly identifying him so that he can be removed from our streets,” police stated.
