Fatal Shooting In Newark Claims Somerville Man’s Life
A fatal shooting on Washington Street claimed a man's life in Newark, authorities said.
NEWARK, NJ — A fatal shooting claimed a man’s life in Newark early Friday morning, authorities said.
According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, the shooting took place on the 200-block of Washington Street.

“Christopher Williams, 31, of Somerville was fatally shot on the 200-block of Washington Street in the city of Newark. He was transported to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:13 a.m. today. A 28-year-old man was also shot. He survived. No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is active and ongoing.”
