Free Concerts, Fireworks Coming To Weequahic, Branch Brook Parks

NEWARK, NJ — A free summer concert series held by the county will include fireworks shows at Weequahic and Branch Brook parks in Newark.

The 2021 Essex County Free Summer Music Concert Series will include a performance by “Smooth” at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30 at Weequahic Park in Newark.

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra will play a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26 in Branch Brook Park in Newark.

Both events will include a fireworks show.

The full series includes three concert and fireworks spectaculars, nearly two dozen concerts throughout the county and two cultural festivals.
