HS Students Can Earn Credits At Essex County College Summer Camp
High school juniors and seniors can earn college credits at Essex County College's 2021 Summer Camp.

NEWARK, NJ — Rising high school juniors and seniors can earn college credits at Essex County College's 2021 Summer Camp.
According to a news release from the college, the online program will run from July 12 to Aug. 19.
Participants will be able to earn college credits from out of the College Success Seminar, English Foundations, English Composition and Effective Speech. Also available is a math refresher course for College Readiness.

In keeping with ongoing CDC health safety guidelines, the courses will be taught remotely by Essex County College faculty, administrators said.
The program is offered free through funding from the state Office of Higher Education and the New Jersey Council of County Colleges.

High school students interested in Summer Camp 2021 can contact their high school guidance counselor or Essex County College's Pre-College Readiness Program Coordinator Yelena Pirtskhalava at pirtskhala@essex.edu.
Elvy Vieira, dean of ECC's Office of Community, Continuing Education and Workforce Development, said the program is intended for students interested in attending college after high school.
“Summer Camp 2021 is an excellent opportunity for high school students to receive academic enrichment, experience college life and learn more about what Essex County College has to offer,” Vieira said.
