Join the Newark Anti Violence Coalition at One of their Many Events this Week
The NAVC will be participating in a vigil for all victims of acts of violence, standing in solidarity with ECC students and more.

NAVC Health Fair
On Wednesday, December 17, he Newark Anti-Violence Coalition will participate in an Anti Violence Health Fair at Central High School, located at 246 18th Avenue, Newark. The fair will be from 1:00 till 3:00 p.m., make sure to stop by the NAVC table.

The Newark Anti-Violence Coalition will be on hand for Mayor Ras Baraka’s Community Call To Action. The event will take place on Thursday, December 18 at 6:00 p.m. at the Municipal Council Chambers, located at 920 Broad Street.
Mayor to Host Inter-Faith Prayer Vigil for All Victims of Violence

The Newark AntiViolence Coalition will also be on hand for the City’s Inter-Faith Prayer Vigil for All Victims of Violence. This event will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Friday December 19. It will be held at St Benedict’s School, located at 520 Martin Luther King Blvd.
Standing in Solidarity with Student Protesters
On Friday, December 19, the Newark Anti-Violence Coalition will stand with Essex County students as they protest police brutality, participants will assemble at the Lincoln Monument on Springfield Avenue at 6:00 p.m.
Memorial for Ian Ali
The Newark Anti-Violence Coalition will be on hand for the memorial for the late Ian Ali, to be held Sunday December 21. The memorial will take place at the New Psalmist Worship Center located at 278 Lyons Avenue in Newark. The memorial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Ian Ali passed away from cancer just weeks ago. A popular young man, was the son of New Psalmist’s pastor Bryant Ali. Ali is a founding member of the NAVC and was the first and most consistent clergy participant in its work.
