Man Reported Missing From Irvington Found Safe: Newark Police

Newark police had sought the public's help finding a 31-year-old man who was reported missing from Irvington.

NEWARK, NJ — UPDATE: Newark police said Friday afternoon that Eric R. Bunyan, 31, who was reported missing from Irvington, has been found unharmed. Our original article follows below.

Newark police are seeking the public’s help finding Eric R. Bunyan, 31, who was reported missing from Irvington on Thursday.

According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, Bunyan last communicated with his family on Tuesday, June 8. He was last seen on the 200-block of Camden Street in Newark.

Police said Bunyan is 5 feet 6 inches and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing orange shorts, a white t-shirt and a blue baseball cap.

“While police are actively searching for Mr. Bunyan, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating him as part of this investigation,” authorities said Friday.
