"We have received the final report from Cornell University on the canine that passed away. The necropsy showed he had Mycoplasma Cynos which caused pneumonia and ultimately the death of the dog. Our veterinarian has informed me that this is not contagious to humans. We have ceased our precautionary quarantine and will begin normal operations immediately."
The shelter is open Tuesday to Sunday from noon to 4:30 p.m. Learn more about adopting dogs or cats here.
