Newark Cops Find 200 People Partying At Illegal Warehouse 'Bar'
Newark police said 200 people were "eating, drinking alcohol and participating in illegal gambling in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic."
NEWARK, NJ — Newark police shut down a large party after finding more than 200 people drinking, eating and gambling in a warehouse on Sunday, authorities said.
Detectives with the Newark Police Department’s vice crimes task force investigated reports of a large party inside a warehouse at 6 Libella Court around midnight, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.
Police arrived on the scene to find more than 200 patrons “eating, drinking alcohol and participating in illegal gambling in the middle of the current COVID-19 pandemic,” authorities said.

Detectives also allegedly saw two women selling alcoholic beverages from behind a makeshift bar. Neither had paperwork proving they held a license to sell alcohol, authorities said.
Police arrested the women, Denisse Tinizaray, 26, and Katherine Tinizaray, 28, and charged each with maintaining an illegal alcohol establishment, illegal possession of alcohol and illegal sale of alcohol.
