Newark Fatal Shooting Claims Life Of 45-Year-Old Man: Prosecutors
A fatal shooting took place on South Orange Avenue in Newark, prosecutors said.
NEWARK, NJ — A fatal shooting took place Monday in Newark, prosecutors said.
Malik Fogler, 45, was fatally shot on the 1000-block of South Orange Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:05 p.m., according to a joint statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Newark Department of Public Safety.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force, which includes detectives from the Newark Police Department, is investigating the shooting. No additional information was immediately available.
