Newark Man Shot Dead Early Sunday Morning

A 29-year-old Newark man was killed early Sunday morning in the area of Avon and Ridgewood avenues, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Ernest Bradley was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:40 a.m. Sunday from apparent gunshot wounds, the prosecutor’s office said.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Major Crimes Task Force, which includes detectives from the Newark Police Department, is investigating the incident.
