NEWARK, NJ — A New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) regional licensing center in Newark is closing for about two weeks after a worker tested positive for the coronavirus, officials say.

The location will remain closed until contact tracers clear enough workers for it to reopen, or any required quarantine is finished, a MVC spokesperson told NJ.com.

Newark isn’t the only MVC location in North Jersey to be impacted by a COVID-19 shutdown. Last month, the office in Jersey City closed when an employee tested positive for coronavirus.
