Newark Obituary: Saul Simoes, Ex-Heavy and General Construction Laborers Local 472 Member

Newark resident Saul Simoes passed away on Jan. 3.

“Saul Miranda Simoes, 75, of Newark, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2015. He was born in Corticeiro de Cima, Cantanhede, Portugal and came to the US in 1970.

“Saul was a laborer and member of the Heavy and General Construction Laborers Local 472 of Newark for many years.

“Beloved husband of 43 years of Maria Fernanda (nee Domingos) Simoes; devoted and loving father of Gorete Simoes and her boyfriend Martin Torres; Mario Simoes and his girlfriend Kim Tempel; cherished grandfather of Martin Torres III. Also survived by 9 brothers and sisters and many dear nieces and nephews.”
