UPDATED: Missing Newark Boy Found Unharmed, Police Say
Newark police said the missing boy was seen in the Central and North wards of the city.

Newark police are asking for the public’s help finding an 11-year-old boy, who was reported missing Tuesday.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, Jahzir Brown was initially spotted near John F. Kennedy Recreation Center in the Central Ward. He was last seen in the area of Stephen Crane Village Apartments, a public housing development located on Stephen Crane Plaza in the North Ward.

Police described Brown as 4 feet 11 inches and 98 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair and a light-brown skin complexion. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a Mickey Mouse design on the front, black boxer shorts and red slippers with green strips.
Anyone with information on Brown’s whereabouts can call the Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips may also be made using the Police Division’s website at www.newarkpublicsafety.org or through its smartphone app.
