Newark Sees 75 Car Crashes Despite Winter Storm Warnings
Dozens of motor vehicle accidents took place across the city on Monday amid a winter storm, officials said.
NEWARK, NJ — Despite repeated warnings from Newark public safety officials, at least 75 motor vehicle accidents took place across the city on Monday amid a winter storm, authorities reported.
In addition to dozens of crashes, emergency responders assisted 53 drivers and put out a car fire, city officials said.
“Please stay off the roads unless it's an emergency,” officials urged. “Stay safe by staying inside.”
