Newark Store Sells Winning Lottery Ticket, Splits $1.7M Jackpot

NEWARK, NJ — A Newark store sold a lottery ticket worth more than $874,000 for the Thursday, Jan. 14 drawing of the Jersey Cash 5, officials said.
According to the New Jersey Lottery, there were two tickets that matched all five numbers drawn, splitting a $1,748,230 jackpot. Each ticket is worth $874,115.
The ticket in Newark was sold at J’s Sweet Shop on Mount Vernon Place. The other ticket was sold at the ShopRite on Route 37 West in Toms River.

The winning numbers were: 06, 08, 13, 15, and 33 and the XTRA number was: 04.
