NJ Transit Bus, Vehicle Have Minor Collision In Newark
A "fender bender" took place between a NJ Transit bus and an SUV in Newark on Monday night, authorities said.
NEWARK, NJ — A minor collision took place between a NJ Transit bus and an SUV in Newark on Monday night, authorities said.
The collision – which a NJ Transit spokesperson described as a “fender-bender” – took place around 9 p.m. as the Maplewood-bound bus approached the intersection of Springfield Avenue and South 6th Street. There were 25 people aboard at the time, authorities stated.
According to NJ Transit, 14 people were brought to nearby hospitals, where they claimed minor, non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the bus and the driver of the SUV both declined medical treatment, a spokesperson said.
