Panasonic Donates 2500 Baby Monitors To Families For Mother’s Day
Panasonic paid tribute to Mother's Day 2019 by donating thousands of baby monitors, including in Newark, where its headquarters is located.

NEWARK, NJ — With a new baby come great joys… and great expenses, too. But thanks to a Mother’s Day donation from Panasonic to the Newark community, several expectant families will have one less item on their shopping lists.
Earlier this week, the Panasonic Corporation of North America announced that it donated 2,500 baby monitors to expectant women and families in honor of the 2019 Mother's Day holiday.
According to Panasonic, all the facilities receiving the donations are federally qualified health centers that serve a diverse population of in-need families, including those in Newark, where the company’s headquarters are located.

Many of the chosen health centers provided a one-two punch to benefit families, handing out the baby monitors after parents’ successful completion of prenatal care classes.
“We know there are great expenses that come with a new baby, and underserved families often struggle to afford the bare necessities,” said Alejandra Ceja, executive director of the Panasonic Foundation and office of corporate social responsibility.

“We want this contribution to give those families one less item to worry about,” Ceja said.
