Police Still Investigating Fatal Newark Stabbing On 4th Avenue
Police continue to investigate a fatal stabbing that took place in Newark last year, authorities announced Thursday.
NEWARK, NJ — Police continue to investigate a fatal stabbing that took place in Newark last year, authorities announced Thursday.
According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, Mario Esquivel Lopez, 28, of Newark, was fatally stabbed on the 400-block of 4th Avenue on Oct. 10, 2020.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force said authorities are trying to learn the identities of three people whom police want to question about the stabbing (see photo below).

None of the three people have been charged with a crime, authorities said.
