P.O.P to Celebrate Kwanzaa
The Newark branch of the People's Organization for Progress will celebrate Kwanzaa on the second and seventh nights.

On Saturday, December 27, the second day of Kwanzaa which celebrates Kujichagulia, Self Determination the organization’s Irvington branch and their youth project, the Popcorn Kidz, will host their second annual Kwanzaa at the Irvington Public Library. It will take place from 1:30 p.m. till 4:00 p.m.The Irvington Public Library is located at 5 Civic Square in Irvington.
On Thursday January 1 the seventh day of Kwanzaa celebrates Imani, Faith. On that day the People’s Organization for Progress’ general assembly will host their annual Kwanzaa program at The REFAL Center. It will take place from 4:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. The REFAL Center is located at 271 South 9th Street in Newark.
