Vehicle Kills Pedestrian In Newark, Driver Doesn’t Stop: Police
A vehicle hit a 36-year-old man in Newark. An investigation is ongoing, authorities said Monday.
NEWARK, NJ — Police continue to investigate a pedestrian fatality that took place in Newark last weekend.
A vehicle struck Andrew Dixon, 36, of Newark in the area of at Elizabeth Avenue and Earl Street in Newark on Saturday, according to a joint statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Newark Department of Public Safety.
Dixon was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:54 p.m., authorities said.

The driver didn’t stop, authorities stated.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force, which includes detectives from the Newark Police Department, is investigating the fatality. An investigation is ongoing, authorities said Monday.
