NEWARK, NJ — “America’s Oldest Brewery” is opening a restaurant at the home arena of the NJ Devils.
On Wednesday night – before the Devils game against the Anaheim Ducks, Yuengling will cut the ribbon on its new restaurant, the Yuengling 1829 Grill. Several executives with the team and Yuengling – as well as former Devils star Ken Daneyko – are expected to be in attendance.
To celebrate, the restaurant will be offering a complimentary beer tasting and “Tap Takeover” for Devils fans with access to the Infiniti Suite Level 1 following the Dec. 18 ribbon cutting ceremony.

Located on the first level of the Prudential Center in Newark, the 13,000 square foot restaurant features “grazing and action stations” that offer a range of New American fare such as charcuterie, salad, pasta and risotto. The seasonal menu also features traditional fan favorites, including mini-sliders, hot dogs and French fries.
The restaurant will be hosting a “Lagers for Heroes program,” and plans to pick 12 military veterans to receive four Yuengling 1829 Grill ledge seats to future Devils games, along with an upgraded VIP experience and complimentary dining.

The new grill is one part of a multi-year partnership between the brewing company, the Devils and the Prudential Center. As part of the partnership, New Jersey Devils fans and attendees of Prudential Center events will be able to buy Yuengling products, including Yuengling Traditional Lager and Yuengling’s Golden Pilsner.
“Yuengling’s generational history as America Oldest Brewery, combined with its commitment to its fans and local communities, make them an ideal partner,” said Adam Davis, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment’s Chief Commercial Officer. “We are proud that the Yuengling 1829 Grill, Yuengling’s first branded restaurant and bar location in a professional sports venue, has made its home at Prudential Center.”
The Devils’ partnership with Pennsylvania-based Yuengling is their second deal this year with an out-of-state brewing company.
In October, the Devils announced the launch of a new specialty brew – Devils Woo! Brew – teaming up with Vermont-based Magic Hat Brewing for the effort.
