1. Find the best price on gas. According to motortrend.com, the Getty on River Road has the best price on regular gas, at $3.719 a gallon as of Monday.  

2. Eat local produce. Strawberries, spinach and lettuce are in season now. Buying from local farms and farmers markets not only ensure the freshest produce, it also can save you money. 

3. Sign Up for Customer Rewards Programs. Take advantage of what your favorite stores or credit card companies are offering. For example, sign up for a Costco American Express card and you can earn cash back for every purchase you make and the card is accepted anywhere. You'll receive a rebate check once a year that you can either spend at Costco or redeem for cash.

4. Shop local businesses. Instead of shopping online and paying for shipping, shop local businesses. Helping to bolster the local economy can also have a positive impact on your tax bill, by keeping local merchants in business. 

5. Sign Up for Coupons. Websites like Groupon, Coupon Sherpa and Living Social offer deals for their members to many local stores. All you have to do is supply an e-mail address and local savings are sent to your inbox daily.
