3. Picnic in the Park Got an outdoorsy dad? Try swimming, hiking and a picnic at Darlington this Father’s Day. Darlington County Park, Mahwah; Swimming is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Park closes at 8 p.m.
4. Take a Family Walk. Enjoy a Father's Day Hike  at the New Jersey Audubon Society’s Weis Ecology Center, 150 Snake Den Road in Ringwood. The 2- to 3-mile hike through the Norcin Green State Forest is free for Fathers, $5 for members, $8 non-members.Â

5. Throw a Backyard BBQ Stay home and enjoy quality time with some quality meats—and treats—from United Meat Market on Main Street. Try the marinated flank steak, a customer favorite. Be sure to pick up your meat Saturday since United Meat is closed Sundays.
