Bergen Official Spends Thousands To Travel On County's Dime: Rpt.
One official spent more than $17,600 in county money going to conferences and conventions since 2015, according to the report.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — James Koch, the county's parks director, has racked up more than $17,600 in county funds traveling nationwide since he took the job in 2015, according to a report by NorthJersey.com.
Koch went to a five-conference hosted by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums in Seattle at a cost of more than $3,100, according to the report.
Koch isn't the only county official to spend a lot on traveling since June 2015.

County engineer and planning director Joseph Fernia spent more than $2,200, according to the report.
