Click It or Ticket Campaign in New Milford

New Milford Police take part in the Statewide Click It or Ticket campaign.

The New Milford Police Department issued 36 summones to motorists Friday, May 31, as part of their participation in the statewide “Click It or Ticket” campaign.

According to Chief of Police Frank Papapietro, the detail, that took place on Boulevard, was headed by Lt. Robert Jones, yielded a total of 36 summonses, 25 being seatbelt violations.  Summonses were also issued for overdue inspections, violation of provisional driver regulations, failure to exhibit documents and improper or no display of license plates.  

Officers arrested Francisco Lopez of Garfield on an outstanding warrant. Complaining of chest pains while at New Milford Police Headquarters, he was taken to Bergen Regional Medical Center by Bergen County Sheriff's officers. Papapietro said that he did know the condition of Lopez. Bergen Regional Medical Center would not disclose any information regarding Lopez.

In addition to Lt. Robert Jones, Sgt. John Moroney, Sgt. Daniel LaMorges, and officers Justin Pisano and Christopher Vinci assisted with the Click It or Ticket effort.
