League of Women Voters of Bergen County to Hold

The League of Women Voters of Bergen County will hold its annual commemoration of Women’s History Month and observe the League’s 93^rd birthday with a special celebration on Sunday, March 3, 2 to 4 p.m., at the Park Ridge Community Center, 53 Park Avenue, Park Ridge, New Jersey.  The entrance to the library on the lower level should be used.  The public is invited to attend the FREE festivities.

            Attendees are asked to select and discuss briefly a woman in U.S. current or past history, whom they admire.  At previous celebrations, contenders have included foremothers who paved the way for future generations, such as Sandra Day O’Connor, Amelia Earhart, Sonia Sotomayor, Abigail Adams, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Elena Kagan, Rosa Parks, Lucine Amara, Julia de Burgos and many others.  Dressing in character is optional, but always adds to the fun.
