Free Mental Health First Aid Course for Dumont Residents
Dumont Stigma-Free Committee and Vantage Health System team up to train residents on March 15 & 22

Someone you know could be experiencing a mental illness or crisis. You can help them, by becoming a Certified Mental Health First Aider.
This 8-hour course, spread over two Sundays, teaches a 5-step action plan to offer initial help to people with the signs and symptoms of a mental illness or in a crisis, and connect them with the appropriate professional, peer, social, or self-help care. Anyone can take this course: first responders, students, teachers, leaders of faith communities, human resources professionals, and caring citizens.

The course is being offered on two consecutive Sundays of 4 hours each - Sunday, March 15 and Sunday, March 22, from 1pm-5pm - at Vantage Health System, 2 Park Avenue, Dumont, NJ. To register, please email the following information to mpreis@vantagenj.org: name, phone number, email address, occupation, and brief description of why you're enrolling in the course.
