Democrats Are Top Vote-Getters In New Milford Council Race

There were Borough Council races and one for the Board of Education.

NEW MILFORD, NJ — The results of the 2019 New Milford municipal races are in.

Four people ran for two Borough Council seats. The results were:

Republican Jeffrey DelVecchio: 1,090
Republican Malcolm Sillars: 992
Democrat Frances Randi Duffie: 1,274
Democrat Lisa Repasky-Sandhusen: 1,229

Two people ran for an unexpired term on the council. The results were:

Laure Schroeder: 1,026
Matthew Seymour: 1,235

Two people ran for a one-year unexpired term on the Board of Education. The results were:

Anthony Albro: 795
Ashley Adams: 904

Three people ran unopposed for three seats on the Board of Education: Tonia Andrews, Heather Gomez, and Judith Rabinowitz-McSweeney. No one filed a petition to run for a two-year unexpired term. Andrews received 893 votes, Gomez 910 votes, and Rabinowitz-McSweeney 681 votes.
