NEW MILFORD, NJ — The parents of a borough man killed in a New York City terrorist attack will appear at the borough's Memorial Day parade Monday.

James and Barbara Drake's son Darren was killed Oct. 31 when a man allegedly drove a rented truck onto a bike path on West Side and hit several people.

Drake, 32, was a former president of the New Milford Board of Education and a project manager for Moody's.

He graduated from New Milford High School in 2003. He earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Rutgers University's School of Arts and Sciences and a master's degree in Management Information Systems from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

  • 8:30 a.m.: Service at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4290
  • 9:15: Parade starts at the corner of Cecchino and River roads
  • 10 a.m.: Service at Borough Hall
