Sandy Damaged 95 Borough Homes
Approximately 342 businesses were also impacted by the storm

Hurricane Sandy damaged a total of 95 homes in New Milford, according to state Department of Community Affairs data reported by NJSpotlight.com and FEMA.
The majority of homes sustained "minor damage," meaning costs up to $10,000 were needed although atleast one home was truck by "major damage" with repairs ranging up to $28,000. Rental damage raned from under $10,000 in reapirs up to $30,000, according to FEMA.
A total of 95 homeowners and 56 renters in the borough applied for aid, according to data from FEMA. The average inspected damage was $1,604 in the borough .

There were approximately 342 local businesses impacted by the storm, according to the NJSpotlight.com report.
Neighbors in River Edge and Oradell also saw 95 homes damaged by Sandy while Paramus saw minimal damage.

The interactive map shows Little Ferry and Moonachie among the hardest hit communities along with towns in the coastal counties of Ocean and Monmouth.
Moonachie had a total of 560 homes, and 114 rentals listed as damaged according to the map. Broken down into minor, major and severe, the largest number of damaged homes and rentals were classified as 'major' damage.Â
Little Ferry had a total of 1,036 homes and 489 rental units damaged. All damaged homes were either considered major or severe and the majority of rentals suffered major damage, according to the data on the map.
