Update: Berkeley Heights Schools Closed Monday
Berkeley Heights Township public schools are closed Monday, Feb. 2 due to Winter Storm Linus.

UPDATE: The delayed start in Berkeley Heights Township schools has been upgraded to a school closing.
Berkeley Heights public schools have announced a delayed start as the pending snowstorm is set to blanket the township with up to four inches Sunday night.
- All Berkeley Heights Township public schools will have a two hour delayed start Monday morning.
The National Weather Service has issued a “Winter Storm Warning,” saying a “significant” storm could possibly dump up to three to nine inches of snow in New Jersey, and much rain, sleet and snow in South Jersey.

Two to four inches is expected to fall in Berkeley Heights Sunday night, according to the NWS. A mix of freezing rain, sleet, and snow will fall Monday with a total new accumulation of less than one inch.

The winter storm warning remains in effect from Sunday evening at 7 p.m. - during the Super Bowl - through Monday afternoon at 1 p.m. There is the potential for one-tenth to one-quarter inch of ice, according to the National Weather Service.
