Farmers Market Open Wednesday in Downtown New Providence

Plus, the 'Concerts in the Park' continues tonight in Berkeley Heights and the Berkeley Library will host a Wii event.

Here's what you need to know today:

“The Infernos,” a live performance band that includes 11 pieces and a horn section, will play at the last of the “Concerts in the Park” this Wednesday. Hosted by the Special Events Committee & Berkeley Heights Recreation Commission, the band will perform from 7:30 to 9 p.m. The concert series is presented by the Suburban Chamber of Commerce and local businesses.

The New Providence Farmers Market will be open from noon to 6 p.m., rain or shine. Sponsored by the New Providence Business Community, the market is open every Wednesday through October at its new location in the Presbyterian Church at New Providence parking lot on Springfield Avenue. This weekly market is a Jersey Fresh market, according to the New Providence Business and Professional Association website, so all produce is grown in New Jersey. Community members can stop by for fresh vegetables and fruit, fresh mozzarella, artisan breads, fruit pies, cookies, crab cakes, gourmet nuts, dried fruits, prepared gourmet Italian meals, honey and flowers.
