2 Fraud Complaints, 1 Unlicensed Driver: Watchung Police Blotter

WATCHUNG, NJ — There were two reports of fraud last week, including one from a Florida resident, according to the Watchung Police. There was also an incident of a driver who identified at a traffic stop without a license.

On June 9: At around 3:43 p.m. a Florida resident contacted the Watchung Police to report an incident of fraud that happened in the borough. The victim said that someone withdrew money from his bank account using the PNC bank located in the Stop and Shop store in the Watchung Square Mall.

On June 9: At around 1:38 a.m. the Watchung Police arrested 22-year-old Chyna Thompson of Elizabeth during a traffic stop on Mountain Avenue for two outstanding warrants. Thompson was released pending court dates in South Plainfield and Woodbridge courts. She was issued a summons for not having a driver's license.
On June 11: At around 7:28 p.m. a resident of Dogwood Lane reported an incident of identity theft. The victim reported that someone used his personal information to file an unemployment claim
