2014 Dog and Cat License Renewal Deadline Is Fast Approaching
It's time to get your four-legged family member legally registered with the borough.

The Borough of Oakland has announced via its website that owners of dogs and cats have just a few weeks to obtain their pet licenses for 2014.
The deadline to purchase a dog or cat license is Feb. 15.Â
Fees are:
DogsÂ
- Spayed/Neutered $13
- Non-Spayed/Non-Neutered $16
CatsÂ

- Spayed/Neutered $12
- Non-Spayed/Non-Neutered $15Â
Applications for the licenses are available online. Download, print and complete the document and mail it to Borough Hall, 1 Municipal Plaza, Oakland, N.J. 07436.  Enclose a check with the correct amount and a self addressed stamped envelope. Send a separate check for dogs and cats.Â
Proof of rabies and spaying/neutering must be submitted with each license application.  Any rabies vaccine which expires before Nov. 1, 2014,will require an updated vaccine prior to the issuance of this year's license. This is mandatory for both dogs and cats.Â
