2021 Oakland Tax Bill Will Increase About 2.4 Percent: Officials
Bergen county will send the Oakland Tax Office an updated tax rate at the end of August confirming the increase for the full year.
OAKLAND, NJ — The tax bill for Oakland residents will increase an estimated 2.4 percent for the full year of 2021 in comparison to the previous one, the Oakland Tax Office announced.
Officials said that the tax rates that generated the estimated third-quarter tax bills (mailed out in June) were overstated.

After the final tax rate is finalized at a county level, the fourth quarter billing will make the appropriate adjustments to bring the full year tax bill into alignment.
The tax office estimates that the fourth quarter bill will be similar to the amount billed in the first and second quarters of 2021.
