Atlantic Medical Group Opens Primary Care Facility in Oakland

Bringing High-Quality Care and Expanded Services to the Community

Atlantic Medical Group recently celebrated the grand opening of a new, state-of-the-art primary care facility in Oakland with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The new office is Atlantic Medical Group’s first and only stand-alone primary care facility in the Oakland area and will serve a large population of patients with a focus on family medicine, health and wellness. The celebration brought together leaders from Atlantic Medical Group, Chilton Medical Center, the community, and members of Oakland Community of Commerce.

“We are excited about this beautiful new state-of-the-art facility in Oakland,” said Dr. Scott Lauter, chief medical officer of Atlantic Medical Group. “Staying healthy is easier when medical care is close by. Our goal to build healthier communities requires us to provide easy access to care and this Oakland office is just one example of how Atlantic Medical Group is bringing high quality care directly into our communities.”

Atlantic Medical Group Primary Care at Oakland includes Dr. Navpreet Minhas, Dr. Ryan Straseskie and nurse practitioner Jeannette Davison. The facility is conveniently located at 340 Ramapo Valley Road in Oakland and provides medical care for adolescents through seniors, men’s and women’s health care, and preventive screenings. Patients who need more advanced care can be seen at nearby Chilton Medical Center, a member of Atlantic Health System and recently named 2017 top mid-sized hospital in New Jersey by Castle Connolly.

Atlantic Medical Group is Atlantic Health System’s network of more than 900 healthcare providers and 300 locations in northern New Jersey. Although the Oakland primary care facility is Atlantic Medical Group’s newest stand-alone facility for primary care and family medicine, it is not the last. The organization plans to add physicians and office locations in surrounding areas to expand its primary and specialty care service offerings.

"We are a network of medical experts all connected through one electronic medical record,” said Dr. Lauter. “We offer our patients comprehensive care, convenient locations, and easy access to their medical information, lab tests and providers. This is the future of healthcare -- a system that is efficient, transparent, and promotes healthy living.”
