Bergen Colleges Make U.S. News' Best Colleges List
The schools were ranked among the best regional universities by U.S. News & World Report.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Several Bergen County colleges were featured on U.S. News & Report's 2020 list colleges list, which was released on Monday.
The schools that made the "regional university north" rankings were:
- Ramapo College of New Jersey, Mahwah No. 32
- Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck No. 56
- Felician University, Lodi, No. 129-170
Other North Jersey colleges that made the list were: William Paterson University at No. 94 and two in Jersey City, Saint Peter's University and New Jersey City University at Nos. 86 and 129-170, respectively.

For the 2020 rankings, U.S. News & World Report made some changes to help prospective students with their college search. A new set of rankings looks at the top performers in social mobility, evaluating which schools best serve underrepresented students. The 2020 methodology also factors in which schools support first-generation college students through graduation.
Nine New Jersey colleges were named to the list. New Jersey's Princeton University was ranked the No. 1 college in the United States. Harvard University was ranked No. 2. Rutgers University-New Brunswick was the next highest nationally ranked New Jersey institution at No. 62.
