Car Crashes Through Oakland Chinese Restaurant

An SUV crashed through the front of Oakland Chinese Cuisine around 11 a.m. on Saturday. No injuries were reported, police said.

OAKLAND, NJ — An SUV crashed through the front of an Oakland restaurant on Saturday, damaging the property but causing no injuries.

The crash happened at Oakland Chinese Cuisine, 400 Ramapo Valley Rd., at 11:05 a.m., Oakland Police Chief Keith Sanzari said.

A tow truck was able to remove the vehicle once the building inspector "deemed it safe to do so," Sanzari said.

Neither the driver of the vehicle, nor any employees of the restaurant, were injured in the crash, he added. No customers were present.
