Danny Hughes Playground Will Close Starting Thursday
A new roller hockey rink is being installed at the playground.
OAKLAND, NJ — The Danny Hughes Playground will be closed beginning Thursday due to the construction of a new roller hockey rink there.
The playground will reopen when heavy construction is completed, borough officials said.
Officials previously announced the playground would be closed intermittently this month while work is done.

Columbia Bank recently gave the borough a $25,000 grant to help fund the roller hockey rink.
