Dietrich C. 'Dieter' Kamm, 18, Loved The Outdoors And Playing Sports

Kamm died Tuesday.

OAKLAND, N.J. — Dietrich C. 'Dieter' Kamm, 18, died Tuesday.

He was born in Denver, Colorado and lived in Chicago and Minnesota before moving to Oakland when he was 7.

He played many sports, including for the Oakland Braves baseball team, the Indian Hills Ice Hockey Team, The Jesters, The New Jersey Alliance and The Bandits.

He was passionate about the outdoors and spent countless days skiing, backpacking, fishing, climbing and kayaking.

He is survived by his parents, Kim and Dieter, sisters Kayla and Lauren and brother Ryan.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the youth ministry at St. Mary's R.C. Church online, or by mailing them to 17 Pompton Ave., Pompton Lakes NJ 07442.
