OAKLAND, NJ — After a long campaign season, Election Day 2019 is finally here in Oakland.
There are a number of races on the Oakland ballot this year, including for mayor.

Locally, Democratic incumbent Linda Schwager is running against Eric Kulmala, a Republican.
Three people are vying for two municipal council seats: Republicans Robert Knapp Jr. and Grant Van Eck and Democrat Thomas Connolly.

Judith Sullivan is the lone candidate running for an unexpired term on the regional board of education.
Residents will also vote for two people to represent the 39th Legislative District in the New Jersey State Assembly: Incumbent Republicans Holly Schepisi and Robert Auth and Democrats Gerald Falotico and John Birkner Jr.
There are six people running for three seats on the Board of Chosen Freeholders: Republicans Corrado Belgiovine, Alyssa K. Dawson, and Kathleen E. Cericola and Democrats Thomas J. Sullivan, Mary Amoroso, and Germaine Ortiz.
