Remy is the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge's 'Dog of the Month', and it's easy to see why.
The big black Labrador Retriever is a gorgeous pet, and a total softy, say the shelter volunteers who work with him. Remy came to the shelter with his brother, Toby, who was recently adopted. The people who owned the dogs surrendered them to another shelter, to which they arrived at the Oakland-based Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge (RBAR).
Remy is a 5-1/2 year old male, energetic and strong; he's good on a leash, but he still needs daily exercise with an owner who is dedicated to taking the time with him he needs. He has a sparkling personality and is full of love.
