OAKLAND, NJ — Harry R. Thomas, 84, of Oakland died Tuesday.
He was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Raymond and Ruth Thomas.
He earned a bachelor's degree from Bucknell University.

Thomas was married to his wife, Connie for 56 years. They eloped on Jan. 26, 1963 in New York City.
He took pride in his home and family. He will always be remembered for his generous heart and funny personality, his family said in his obituary.

He is survived by his wife, son Eric, daughters Adrienne Gering and Stephanie Roscoe, granddaughter Tiffany Petrou, and sisters, Margaret Hartzler and Judy Thomas.
Visitation is Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Oakland Funeral Home. Prayers will be at 4:30 p.m. by Rev. Thomas Lipnicki. A final drive home will follow.
