No Surprises In Oakland Borough Council Primary 2021

There were only two candidates on either party running for the two seats available in the Oakland Borough Council primary.

OAKLAND, NJ, — Republican candidates Eric Kulmala and Steven Saliani, and Democratic candidates John P. Biale and Charles Schwartz won their party nominations for the two open regular seats on the Borough Council, according to unofficial results.

Democrat Thomas Connolly and Republican incumbent Kevin Slasinski won the nomination for the unexpired term seat, with 224 and 469 votes respectively.

There are no surprises, as they were the only candidates running.

Kulmala and Saliani got 503 and 477 votes respectively, and Biale and Schwartz got 215 and 211 votes respectively.
