Oakland Cross-Country Runner Appearing At National Championship
It is Matt Tuohy's first appearance on the national stage running in the 8-kilometer race.
OAKLAND, NJ — Junior Matt Tuohy will appear at the NCAA Division III cross-country championship later this month.
Tuohy, an Indian Hills High School alumnus, placed 14th Saturday at regionals and earned All-Region honors. His finish was three spots higher than his finish in 2016.
It is Tuohy's first appearance in the 8-kilometer race at nationals.

Tuohy was All-Bergen County, All-League and All-Region in 2013. He was Second Team All-State in 2015.
The cross-county championship is Nov. 18 in Elsah, Illinois.
