Oakland's 'Tony The Tailor' Died Saturday

'Tony knew he was the best tailor in town and will be missed for his extraordinary skills behind a sewing machine,' his obituary states.

OAKLAND, NJ — Monir Malki, who was affectionately known as "Tony The Tailor," died Saturday.

"Tony knew he was the best tailor in town and will be missed for his extraordinary skills behind a sewing machine," his obituary states. "Tony had an energetic and bold personality that will never be forgotten."

He is survived by his children, Anthony and Francesca.

Visitation will be Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. at Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland.
