Pit Bull Left For Dead In Paterson Slowly Improving
The dog, named Phoenix, is learning to trust, more and more each day, the organization who rescued her said.

OAKLAND, NJ — A dog that was left to die in a more than 100-degree apartment in Paterson is slowly improving.
The dog, named Phoenix, can now hold her head up and had some bandages removed, the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge said on its Facebook page.
"Perhaps the best news of all is that Phoenix is learning to trust, more and more each day. This once terrified little soul, who wouldn’t allow anyone to touch her, is now leaning on her new friends for affection," the Oakland-based rescue organization said. "While Phoenix is still too weak to stand, these other improvements are so monumental. We are so proud of this brave little survivor."

DeCando contacted the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge (RBAR) who brought Phoenix to the Oradell Animal Hospital where she is being treated.
RBAR was grateful for the donations it has received to help pay for Phoenix's care.
"Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued love and support for this amazing little soul," RBAR said. "Together, we have given her new life."
