Pit Bulls, Pumpkins Take Center Stage At Bergen Festival
The Oakland festival celebrates dogs of every breed and size.
OAKLAND, NJ — Have some fun with pit bulls, grab some food, and enjoy the crisp fall weather at the annual Pit Bulls and Pumpkins Fall Festival Oct. 20.
The Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge hosts the annual event.
Take a photo of your dog dressed up for the costume contest. There will be face and pumpkin painting, music, animal training tips, prizes and a big raffle drawing.

The festival is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
Dogs on leashes may attend the festival.

The rain date is Oct. 27. The refuge is located at 2 Shelter Lane in Oakland.
