Rescued German Shepherd Pup Frolics in the First Snow
Jada started out life by being thrown out of a window. She's now enjoying her forever home with the Lima family.
There's no such thing as a puppy who doesn't love playing, but when you see Jada run around her snowy backyard, there's a little extra flip of the tail and twinkle in the eye that lets you know she's in her element.
Six-month-old Jada is a rescue dog, adopted by Bryan and Tami Lima of Oakland four months ago at a rescue event at Pet Value in Wyckoff that was run by Ruff Rehab Rescue of Pompton Lakes.
Jada's life didn't start out well, to say the least, Byan said. "Her mother and the pups were thrown out the window of a vehicle and left on the side of the road," he recalled.
Jada has turned out to be the perfect pet, adored by the entire family. "She is a very loving dog and gets along well with my sons Bryan and Alex," Bryan said. "As you saw, she absolutely loves the snow."
Bryan documented Jada's first encounter with 8 inches of snow in the family's backyard on a video he submitted to Patch.
