The Social Action Committee of the Central Unitarian Church in Paramus presents “Gasland, Part II,” on Friday night, Feb. 20, at 7:30 as part of the Friday Film Series. Filmmaker Josh Fox examines the potential long-term environmental impact of hydraulic fracturing, including poisonous water and earthquakes in this 2010 Environmental Media Award-winning documentary. A representative from Food and Water Watch, a healthy food and clean water advocacy group, leads the discussion following the film. The film is 104 minutes long and not rated. Doors open at 7 p.m. Refreshments are served, and donations are gratefully accepted.
